Spencer Blankley grew up in a political household absorbing the arguments for conservative principles and proposals. The disconnect between the quality of the case and its public impact impressed on him the challenge of reaching those who do not already pay attention and already agree.
As an undergraduate he studied economics at Princeton University, enhancing appreciation of the rationale for free markets and limited government. After graduating he worked at Jefferies investment bank in New York facilitating acquisitions in the Aerospace & Defense industry. Since 2009 he has managed investments independently in Virginia.
Throughout that time he developed approaches to better informing the public about the logic and effects of policy in light of increasing quantity and self-selection of content. He also focuses on ways to grow political participation by providing a clearer path to action. Writing about politics and economics is a daily passion.
