VIDEO: Steamboat Institute Hosts Arthur Laffer, Ph.D., and Brian Domitrovic, Ph.D., for the book launch of The Emergence of Arthur Laffer

Arthur Laffer, known as the Father of Supply-side Economics, is the most influential economist of the past 50 years, having advised nine U.S. Presidents and Margaret Thatcher during her tenure as Prime Minister of Great Britain. Dr. Laffer was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump in 2019.

Brian Domitrovic is the Richard S. Strong Scholar at the Laffer Center and is the author of multiple books on American economic history. He was previously a Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado Boulder.

On June 14, 2022, The Steamboat Institute hosted Dr. Laffer and Dr. Domitrovic at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, Colorado, to discuss their new book, The Emergence of Arthur Laffer: The Foundations of Supply-Side Economics in Chicago and Washington, 1966–1976
